Panasonic Japan Team Visits General Nakar and Tanay for “Cut Out the Darkness” Project

In partnership with INAM Philippines (Integrative Medicine for Alternative Healthcare Systems), a team from Panasonic Japan visited the municipalities of General Nakar and Tanay, Rizal for a location scouting activity for their global initiative, “Cut Out the Darkness.”

The visit aimed to explore how communities in these areas many of which include Indigenous Peoples (IPs) are promoting sustainable, community-based health and environmental practices. Through this collaboration, Panasonic hopes to showcase stories of empowerment and resilience in local communities that embody the spirit of collective action and hope.

The “Cut Out the Darkness” project is an international campaign by Panasonic that spreads awareness about sustainable energy and community development by featuring inspiring initiatives around the world. The team’s visit to Tanay and General Nakar provided an opportunity to witness firsthand the integrated community health programs facilitated by INAM, where local volunteers, traditional healers, and local government units work together toward accessible and holistic healthcare.

By documenting these real-life examples of empowerment, the Panasonic team aims to highlight how community participation, cultural respect, and sustainable innovation can light the path toward a healthier, more equitable future.
