🌿 Introduction to TCM Acupuncture and Tuina for Pain Management Training – July 2018

INAM Philippines conducted the Introduction to TCM Acupuncture and Tuina for Pain Management Training, a skills-based learning program designed to equip health workers, practitioners, and wellness advocates with practical applications of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in addressing pain and common health conditions.

This training introduced participants to essential TCM theories, with emphasis on etiology, pathogenesis, and diagnostic methods, providing a strong foundation for understanding illness from a holistic and root-cause perspective. Through guided discussions and hands-on practice, learners explored how acupuncture and Tuina can be effectively applied in community and clinical settings.

Participants gained practical experience in TCM pattern differentiation and therapeutic techniques for managing frequently encountered conditions, including:

  • Colds and cough
  • Asthma
  • Constipation and diarrhea
  • Headache
  • Arthritis
  • Uncomplicated musculoskeletal pain

The course highlighted how traditional healing methods can complement modern medical approaches, promoting integrative, patient-centered, and non-invasive pain management strategies. By combining theory with practice, participants developed confidence in applying TCM techniques safely and effectively.

Through interactive lectures, demonstrations, and experiential learning, the training reinforced INAM Philippines’ commitment to advancing accessible, evidence-informed, and community-responsive integrative healthcare.

As INAM continues to strengthen its training and capacity-building initiatives, it remains dedicated to empowering communities with knowledge that bridges traditional wisdom and modern health practices—toward healthier and more resilient communities. 🌱
