INAM Philippines Participates in Pista ng Gamutang Pilipino 2 at Cagayan State University

November 20-22, 2019

INAM Philippines proudly participated in Pista ng Gamutang Pilipino 2, a three-day national conference celebrating Filipino traditional medicine and the vital role of Filipino healers in community health. The event was held at Cagayan State University – Carig Campus in Tuguegarao City, bringing together practitioners, advocates, academics, and organizations committed to advancing gamotang Pilipino.

The conference served as an important platform to strengthen appreciation for indigenous and traditional healing practices, promote knowledge exchange, and affirm the relevance of culturally rooted health systems in addressing community health needs. INAM’s participation reflects its long-standing advocacy for integrative, people-centered, and community-managed health programs across the Philippines.

Throughout the three-day event, participants engaged in discussions, presentations, and networking activities focused on preserving traditional medical knowledge, supporting Filipino healers, and integrating traditional medicine into broader public health efforts. The gathering highlighted the shared commitment of institutions and practitioners to ensure that gamotang Pilipino remains accessible, respected, and sustainable for future generations.
