INAM Conducts CMHP Training for Community Health Workers in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija
INAM Philippines successfully conducted a two-day capacity-building training for Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija as part of its ongoing project, “Establishment of Community Managed Health Programs (CMHPs) in Luzon, Philippines.”
The training was facilitated by INAM Executive Director Sid Sia, together with Anicia Sollestre, Malou Tinga, and Ann Lim, in partnership with Gabay ng Pag-asa, and with the generous support of Misereor.
A total of 16 Community Health Workers participated in the activity, focusing on the processing and analysis of barangay-level household survey data. Through guided discussions and participatory workshops, the CHWs were able to identify the top three priority community health problems that need to be addressed in their respective barangays.
This training strengthens the capacity of community-based health workers to use evidence-based data for planning, decision-making, and program implementation, ensuring that health interventions are responsive to actual community needs.
The Gabaldon training is part of a series of CMHP trainings that INAM will roll out in selected project sites across Luzon, reinforcing INAM’s commitment to people-centered, community-managed, and sustainable primary health care programs in the Philippines.
