INAM Philippines, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) and representatives from the Department of Health (DOH), conducted an area visit to Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Barangay Laiban, Tanay, Rizal on February 22, 2023.
The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration with local stakeholders, assess the current conditions of community-based health initiatives, and provide support to CHWs who play a vital role in delivering primary health care services in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
Strengthening Community-Based Health Programs
During the area visit, INAM Philippines engaged with CHWs to better understand their on-the-ground experiences, challenges, and successes in providing health services to their communities. Discussions focused on:
