🌿 Common Community Diseases Training — September 2016

INAM Philippines successfully conducted the Common Community Diseases Training, a foundational program designed to equip health workers, practitioners, and community advocates with practical, holistic approaches to managing common illnesses using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

This training provided participants with a solid introduction to TCM principles, including core theories and their practical application in diagnosis and treatment. Through the Acupuncture and Tuina Training Program, learners explored how time-tested healing methods can be effectively used in community and primary healthcare settings.

Participants gained knowledge and skills in natural, integrative approaches to managing frequently encountered conditions such as:

  • Colds and sore throat
  • Flu and cough
  • Asthma
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Diarrhea and constipation
  • Menstrual disorders

The course emphasized the complementary relationship between TCM and modern biomedicine, highlighting how both systems can work together to promote holistic healing, strengthen prevention, and improve overall wellness at the community level.

Through interactive lectures, practical demonstrations, and guided discussions, participants deepened their understanding of patient-centered and root-cause–oriented care, reinforcing INAM Philippines’ mission to make integrative healthcare accessible, safe, and community-responsive.
